![]() ![]() For it's basic intended use of screen capture it's everything I need. I'd just like to easily customize things for personal preference. What they have is functional and easy to use. I'd like a little more options for adding arrows, call-outs, and text post-capture. The captures are high quality and easy to retrieve, edit, share. I use it for customer support, training, and providing feedback to other software vendors. Note: not a monthly subscription but an annual fee. I've been using Snagit for at least 10 years and am on the inexpensive annual maintenance plan where I get all updates and latest version. I also have their other software Camtasia and the two work seamlessly. I've been a constant user for well over 10 years. I also use it to communicate with graphic designers and tech support for other apps. I use it to create how-to video and handouts for customer training and support. I have a software company and am a writer. Subscribe when I have jobs to pay for it, and take a pause when I don't need it. ![]() ![]() A small fee subscription model may be easier to sustain. However, I am considering looking around to see if I can tighten the belt and find alternatives. The scrolling window and recording has been a life-saver for me in my SAP manual and instructional work. The industry has changed, there are a number of free captures products built in to windows etc. Highlighting steps or features on screens is simple and efficient. Also, minor editing is clean, simple, and effective. The scrolling window is still the prime usable feature in this software. ![]() You can get up and running in no time! The capturing commands and wording is easy to follow and user friendly, even if you've never used something like this before. This software is intuitive to install and use. It has been my go to software in work, and quite often in private requirements too for 8 years plus. This includes recording screens, and minor "to be" editing for development work and user analysis. It has been extremely quick and easy to use in design and development work. It's one of the only products I've found over 8 years that have allowed me to capture a scrolling screen.
